UBI Consulting is awarded a contract on JIRCAS's Participatory Rural Appraisal on Land Salinization Project (Uzbekistan). Japan International Researach Center for Agricultural Science's objective is to know the farmers demand about the agricultural issues on farmers land. The aim of the services is to implement Participatory Rural Appraisal and to bring out opinions of farmers as much as it is possible about their issue, through making a workshop / survey in 2 water user associations of Syrdarya oblast of Uzbekistan.


UBI Consulting with its partners is awarded a contract on ADB's Project Management Consultancy for Multitranch Financing Facility of CAREC Transport Corridor I (Taraz - Korday Section) Investment Program (Kazakhstan). Objectives of these consulting services are to provide assistance to Executing Agency in management of the Investment Program and insure that the projected outputs have been achieved.  Project Management Consultant’s services will cover activities for the Project 1, 2 and 3.

The Project is aimed to: assist the central and local governments and the utility agencies in refurbishment and construction of the potable water supplies; improve the institutional, technical and financial capability of local governments and Vodokanals in the planning, implementation, and operation and maintenance of facilities; promote greater community participation in the management of urban infrastructure services.


UBI Consulting with its partners shortlisted for EuropeAid's Implementation of the SUMTACA Project - Sustainable use and management of the transboundary aquifers of Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan). The specific objectives are to formulate, develop and adopt joint measures for the sustainable use and management of transboundary aquifers, strengthening of integrated water and land management approaches in utilisation and conjunctive use of surface and groundwater.


UBI Consulting with its partners shortlisted for EuropeAid's Implementation of the Project ''Integrating aquifers into the conjunctive use of water resources in the Fergana Valley for improved Integrated Water and Land Resources Management'' (Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan). The Project will assist to adopt joint measures for the sustainable use and management of transboundary aquifers, on filling gaps in data and information, and formulation of sound management policies, aimed at poverty alleviation and socio-economic development of the Fergana Valley.

The objective of the project is to learn about the best practices and experiences of the micro finance organization in Uzbekistan to be visited during the tour and To learn from the experiences and best practices of beneficiaries enabling the delegates to have an overview of the investments & business ventures of the beneficiaries.


UBI Consulting with its partners shortlisted for WB's Improvement of Water Supply in Alat and Karakul districts of Bukhara region project (Uzbekistan). The objective of “Improvement of Water Supply in Alat and Karakul districts of Bukhara region” the extension and reconstruction of the water supply system in the regional centers and rural settlements of Alat and Karakul districts of Bukhara region. Definition of the project objective is caused by low efficiency of existing water intake facilities as they are obsolete and worn out.


UBI Consulting with its partners shortlisted for WB's South Karakalpakstan Water Resources Management Improvement Project (Uzbekistan). The main objective of the proposed consultancy services is to: (i) prepare a comprehensive long term analysis of the need to improvement the South Karakalpakstan Right Bank Irrigation and Drainage System; prepare a detailed feasibility level study with tender designs of the project (SKWMIP); contingent upon the availability of funding and satisfactory outcome of the first phase.

The objective of the project is to conduct: Technical Feasibility Study, Commercial and Financial Analysis, Environmental Analysis and Assessment, and Social Assessment, in order to “improve the level of service in terms of safety, quality, reliability, efficiency, financial availability, and sustainability of the water supply services in the five rayons of Syrdarja oblast.

UBI Consulting with its partners shortlisted for KFAED's Rehabilitation and Equipping of a Cardio-Surgery Building Project (Uzbekistan). The overall objective of the project is to enhance the development efforts in the health sector and the quality and efficiency of cardiac surgery services in Republic of Uzbekistan, by improving diagnostic and treatment for patients with congenital , acquired and ischemic heart diseases, as well as establishing modern minimal invasive techniques of endovascular interventions for heart diseases, through the rehabilitation and provision of appropriate medical equipment for the Cardio-Surgery building.

UBI Consulting with its partners shortlisted for ADB's Issyk-Kul Sustainable Development Project (Kyrgyz Republic). The proposed TA will follow relevant ADB and Government guidelines and include consultations, focus group discussions and workshops to deliver the following outputs: Infrastructure Plan, Institutional Plan and Financial Plan. The project will also explore output based aid and potentials of introducing private sector participation in basic service delivery in the urban centers given the currently weak institutional capacities of vodocanals and communal utilities.

The process requires identifying differences between the current and desired states for the sector, and designing actions to eliminate the differences.
