The objective of “Improvement of Water Supply in Alat and Karakul districts of Bukhara region” the extension and reconstruction of the water supply system in the regional centers and rural settlements of Alat and Karakul districts of Bukhara region. Definition of the project objective is caused by low efficiency of existing water intake facilities as they are obsolete and worn out.

Project benefits include (i) reduced production losses, (ii) increased energy efficiency, (iii) improved water management, (iv) decreased land degradation caused by soil salinity and waterlogging, (v) increased irrigation efficiency, (vi) enhanced farm productivity through increased yields and cropping intensity, and (vii) increased rural livelihoods.

to to examine farmers’ knowledge and understanding on: compost (feedlot manure, barn manure and green manure) and plowing down crop stems; on how to produce feedlot manure, barn manure and/or green manure; to clarify the reasons, if a farmer’s knowledge and understanding is not enough.
